The Zoo is located in the heart of Lincoln Park and has a nationally renowned reputation. Lincoln Park Zoo is the last major zoo in the country that offers free admittance. The Zoo sponsors many special events throughout the year (www.lpzoo.com).
Neighborhood
Lincoln Park is a world famous park which extends along the north shore of Lake Michigan in the City. The park makes all kinds of athletic facilities available to Chicagoans. This baseball field is one example. The field is within a few short blocks of Americana Towers and is the site of baseball leagues during the summer.
This jewel is a short walk from Americana Towers and is a favorite destination for beach lovers. The beach holds both professional and amateur volleyball tournaments. The beach is clean and secure with lifeguards on duty.
The park is filled with beautiful gardens and an outstanding conservatory. The flowers and exotic plants attract many visitors and is a favorite destination among Chicagoans.
This special place is a neighborhood favorite. The lagoon offers a combination of nature with the opportunity to be a part of it all by renting a paddle boat for a closer view.
The views of Chicago from the park are spectacular. This view from North Avenue Beach is one great example!

If you want to know more about Chicago, this is the place to visit. The museum also includes great exhibits covering Civil War history. The museum is only two blocks from Americana Towers.
The harbor can be found at the north end of the Lincoln Park Zoo, and is a scenic attraction in the area.
